Living Funerals are gaining more momentum as some people decide they want to be present at their own wake and as strange as this might seem to some, an end of life celebration can give comfort to a person who is most probably suffering from a terminal illness or has a sense that their time is short, they are able to plan and control it so that it becomes a way of saying goodbye surrounded by family and friends and this in turn allows those around to help celebrate the life of their friend or loved one and to remember them when the time comes, in a happy, relaxing way thus avoiding much of the sadness associated with funerals.
The Living Funeral can be of great benefit if the person should want a very low key personal funeral when the inevitable happens, and who perhaps would wish only immediate family present.
