Originating from New Orleans, Here-After can provide a traditional live Jazz Band for the funeral procession or funeral reception/wake, catering for our clients needs in every aspect.
Formed back in 2003 as a new generation of early jazz band. Our superbly recommend ensemble contains today's young up-and-coming player's.
All members are full time London professionals and some of the leading musicians in their field.
The processional funeral performance by the traditional jazz band is a very common request and Here-After have sourced a highly respectable Jazz Band with considerable experience, working closely and compassionately with both the client and ourselves to make sure every wish is met.
The funeral band is available to perform the complete or sections of the New Orleans funeral commencing with a march from the family home, followed by further performances at the church, cemetery and the wake. Our Jazz Band understand the day can be very emotional and are extremely sympathetic throughout the whole process, making sure the music reflects the importance of the day.
The funeral band plays a range of somber pieces and hymns which include: Just A Closer Walk With Thee, Careless Love, Abide with Me and can meet most musical requests. It is common for the repertoire to take an upbeat and celebratory direction after the service, performing pieces such as When The Saints, Didn’t He Ramble and Feel So Good.
The funeral band is available in various sizes including the traditional 3 piece to the 7 piece. They are also able to put together an extra large New Orleans 12 piece ensemble if required.
